I was so irritated on Sunday. Stake Conference is this weekend and it was announced that our visiting GA was inviting all youth 12+ to the Saturday evening adult session. I immediately thought: "Thank you for un-inviting me , and many of my friends". Any mom in the stake with children until 12 probably won't be there. Unless Grandma steps in. I vented my frustration to my poor husband. He just assumed that I would take precedence over attending and one of our older girls would babysit. I told him that's not how moms think -and most likely that other moms in the stake wouldn't be leaving their teens at home. Plus, what about those moms who only have young children? You've just effectively taken away all their babysitters. He said that he did make this argument a month ago when the meeting was being discussed. I guess he got outvoted. When these sorts of decisions come down - I have to say that it makes me grumpy. Don't the people making the
Here was the best part of June - Logan came home on June 20 2023!! He arrived at the Pasco/Tri-Cities airport around 10:30pm. We were tired waiting for him. Nathan is still jet-lagged from his flight in from Saudi so it was nice of him to come along! It help us not seem like such a small group. We are happy to have him around! I had a sign made for him that Faith and Sam held up for him to see. On Wednesday morning we gathered in the living room of our AirBnB and called Hannah and Brynne so they could join while Logan was released. Josh asked a few questions, Logan shared his testimony with us, and then Josh officially released him. We spent the day playing and eating. On Thursday we joined with the pioneer trekkers and Kenna and Natalie got to hug their brother hello and goodbye as they head off on a Mexican adventure of their own! we stopped in Corvallis so Logan could say hello to his grandparents. Then homeward bound! The mission posted these photos online of their outgoi
May was a busy but beautiful month. We finished track and golf up. Both girls had great seasons and lots of fun. I was especially impressed by Kenna's golf team (Varsity took 4th at state, btw) for their kindness, cohesiveness, and fantastic coaches. Looking forward to next year for that! Natalie didn't make it to districts as she had hoped - 8th grade is more competitive with fewer slots open. But she still did well and enjoyed it. I think the girls finally had decent weather the last week of practices - they both toughed out almost the entire season in cold, rainy weather. cinco de mayo with merlin ward faith and her future husband double rainbow on our 15 minute date! You know the statement "it takes a village". Well, that is never more true than when mama goes out of town. At the urging and support of good friends, I had booked a flight to visit the Sants and hopefully time it to be there when the baby arrived. Obviously Darwin came early, but he was s
Huh. Tough one. Combination between Natalie and Logan? I dunno. They all look related as newborns, that's for sure!

ReplyDeleteI also think Natalie looks a bit like me with her new haircut.
