Brynne had her first surf lesson!! She and Hannah have high hopes of surfing more this summer -  here's hoping they can find the time.   ;-) All suited up and ready to go! First, lessons on the sand - especially important is learning how to fall safely! And she's on her way.... She's up!!!! Cruising into shore and showing off her excellent balance skills! Playing while we wait....  the girls found all sorts of treasures since it was low tide.  Brynne had such a good time.  I knew she would.  Today she asked me how much a surfboard costs!

Father's Day

I loved Jim Gaffigan.  Here's an excerpt from his recent book "Dad is Fat": But truly, women are amazing. Think about it this way: a woman can grow a baby inside her body. Then a woman can deliver the baby through her body. Then, by some miracle, a woman can feed a baby with her body. When you compare that to a male’s contribution to life, it’s kind of embarrassing, really. The father is always like, “ Hey, I helped, too. For like five seconds. And I

We had our end-of-school dinner.  Hannah and Brynne both got awards for perfect attendance this year.  Woot, woot! Logan won an award for basically being popular with both his class and his teacher.  As his teacher said, "well-liked by students, happy to help others, always does what is asked of him".  Yeah, that's my boy. All three kids won awards for their scholastic achievement. Pictured: Logan and Sammers - the only males out of nine cousins last weekend.  They stuck together.  ;-) BUDDIES! Coming up: skunk train school field trip (we're all going!!) and Brynne's 8th Grade Promotion ceremony on Friday!  Can't believe we are going to have our second high schooler.  I am starting to feel VERY old. In baby news, Faith is getting on her hands and knees and starting to show definite signs of a desire to move.  She rocks.  She pushes hard with her toes to inch her way forward.  She tries to get into a sitting position (she can't actually sit
