hot August nights

August was a blast!  Kenna was and HXP having the time of her life and learning so much about service and hard work.  She said the trip was "#worthit" when she got back and we loved hearing about her experiences there.









The rest of us spent some time in Sunriver.  We had Hannah's family with us for a week and it was pure delight.



We started playing Mulkky and it is such a fun game!




The second half of the week was a Templeman family reunion and it was so fun to have all my sisters together and enjoy each other's company.




Natalie and Faith came home (to join up with Kenna) with Logan and Jordan - and they were here for a week.  Josh and I stayed in Sunriver and Jason and Jasmin came out to join us.  We had a really relaxing fun week.  We ate lots of yummy food and took only one photo but it was because we were busy doing stuff. 


When we got back it was pear picking season and time for school to start!  It was a bit of a whirlwind after that.


Josh and I took Faith to Landen's wedding!  He's married to Nikelle and Faith caught the bouquet!  How fun is that??



Josh bought himself a present!  



Faith did this fun kit from constructive chaos and really enjoyed it.

I think I posted this photo on Facebook....can't wait until my girls are home and I can hear all about EFY!!!   I have missed them but know they are having a blast. My little girl loves her baths!  She's turned into a monster crawler, and this week learned to pull herself up to a standing position, so baby-proofing just went to the next level.  She loves to play with her siblings.  She follows them around while they enact their pretend plays and chews on things while she watches whatever they are doing.  She is darling and we love every second with this girl! Four days after scout camp, the scouts had the unique opportunity to earn their archeology merit badge.  They were able to participate in a real 'dig' a couple hours south and be taught by an archeologist about what they were looking for.  They found some Indian arrowheads and Logan was able to bring home some obsidian souvenirs.   Boys love dirt! First Family

 Oh goodness - it's always a treat when we get Nathan and his family all to ourselves in Oregon.  It's a sacrifice for them to drive all the way out here in a busy summer.  This year they came so that Aves could attend FSY with Kenna and Natalie.  While the girls were gone, the rest of us played.  Faith had the week of her life.  Summer Camp at Miss Annie's with her cousins was a highlight. We also read books galore, ate treats, went to a baseball game and played and laughed hard together.

Second family/Reunion/Anniversary

 After our first family visitors left we had a turnover day, and then the next family group started streaming in.  ;-)  We had some family stay with us and some had arranged their own housing.  We planned three days of activities.  One thing that I loved was having all my sisters together - that is a rare treat. Not too many photos from the anniversary picnic.  We had professional photos taken which will be coming in a few weeks.  It was crazy hot but we had a good time nonetheless. On Thursday the sisters packed up our kids and went to the redwoods and enjoyed the afternoon playing in the river at Jedediah Smith park.  We got lucky with the BEST weather. And that concluded our family reunion and anniversary celebration.
