April showers bring... a special baby!

April showers is a complete understatement.  We had all the moisture and then some.  Kenna was knee-deep in golf season.  Which, side note here - they originally said they would take 8 girls on the golf team.  Then they had 14 try out, including five freshman.  Well, after a few days of tryouts they said that instead of one golf team of eight, they would do a varsity team of 8 and a JV team of 6, which meant Kenna got to play golf!  In spite of the miserable, freezing, wet temperatures every single day she played in April, she loved it.   This is Kenna and her good friend Caroline at their first tourney.  On this day they had rain, snow, hail, sun, wind, and should have had a tornado just to finish off the weather patterns!

Natalie decided to do track again this season and she had a really fun year.  She competed in a sprint, usually the 100m, but a couple times it was the 200m.  She also threw javelin and shot put.  She did pretty good and PR'd in javelin this year (over last year's score).

The month was full of those two sports and trying to keep the girls warm and dry through their daily practices.

Here's the first warm golf day - we had to get a treat to celebrate!

One highlight was when Shannon brought her kids down to see the Honeys and we got to play with them for a couple days!

Natalie dressed up like a 'bbq dad' for spirit week.

The second warm day in April (there were two) we opted for a picnic dinner.  It was heavenly.

Keeping up with homework during sports seasons has me like:

On April 29, Darwin Joshua Sant was born, four weeks early.

He's working up to his full fighting strength, so staying in NICU for a bit till he can eat all the calories he needs, but otherwise quite healthy!
