Give me a Break!

Track season has begun!  Natalie and Kenna are both participating with the South Middle School track team.  Currently their events are Natalie: 100m, High Jump, Javelin; Kenna: 400 or 800m, High Jump, Shot Put.  Yes, you heard that last one right.  They seem to be having a wonderful time and enjoying trying a lot of new things.  Faith and Mom are getting used to a lot more one-on-one time together in the afternoons.  Both the girls are also doing two electives on campus every other day after lunch.  It's all been a lot of fun for them.  I'm realizing that I don't have any photos of them yet for track - I'll have to rectify that!

We went to Idaho for Spring Break.  We took two cars of things out to Hannah and Keaton in preparation for their move to Iowa in April.  We soaked up Milo and Nova as best we could - it will be September before we see them again.  Kind of sad about that.  But the move will be good for the Sant family.

We went to the Museum of Idaho on our visit to Idaho because I saw they had a Genghis Khan exhibit going on.  It was a really neat exhibit.

I just loved watching Faith and Nova together - they are so sweet and definitely bestest friends.

Who doesn't love getting eaten by Papa?

Going back in time - Faith made a leprechaun trap on St. Patrick's Day and narrowly missed capturing our neighborhood leprechaun.  He left her some candy, a boastful note and a shamrock covered golf ball!

When Faith and I have extra time we like to swing by the library.  It's so nice to have normalcy again.

I just can't get enough of this cute face.

One afternoon we went for a walk - we love the bridge over the river and ALWAYS have to have a few games of Pooh-sticks.  I think Dad was the winner!

Josh arranged for a quick getaway to Eugene for a concert.  We tried a new restaurant, a new hotel, and had a fun time watching Harry Potter 2 with a live orchestra accompaniment.  It's pretty fun to watch!

Faith had some special experiences with Grandpa Richardson.  He recently was in the hospital and going through a challenging-to-him procedure that he was a little anxious about.  He told Faith that as he lay trying to figure out what to do to manage his emotions, he thought to himself "I'm going to think of the kindest, most loving person," and instantly Faith came to his mind.  And he continued to think to himself, "I'm going to think about Faith and she will be right here by me while I do this".  He was so sweet to share that experience with Faith and she was happy to give a lot of kisses to tide him over until her next visit.

So that's our last few weeks.  Our house is in disarray but soon I'll have updates with our new carpet, painting, backsplash, and bathroom to share!
