Missionary Miracles

 On Tuesday Logan departed for his mission.  We took him to the airport and after a mostly stress-free check in saw him safely through security.  Because his plane was due to board in ten minutes, Josh and I headed home (also, it was 5:00am and it seemed pointless to sit around where we couldn't even see him). The great thing about the internet is that you can find out things like where someone's plane is at any given moment.  After a few hours I decided to check and see if he was about to land in Denver.  What I found was that he was JUST TAKING OFF from Medford.  The poor kid had been sitting at the airport for 2.5 hours waiting for a flight!  And of course that throws off his entire itinerary which was tight already.  Knowing he doesn't have a phone didn't help me feel calm!  He did have the number for the missionary travel department which he was told to call if there were any travel issues.  So all we could do was wait for him to wi...

  Towards the beginning of May as I started planning ahead in my life, I realized that I was going to have 6 very full weeks that would culminate at the end of June.  It was incredibly busy but also incredibly good.  I don't have a lot of photos from the month of June because, well, we were doing things.  But I have wonderful memories. Kenna joined a real-deal golf team for June/July.  She has LOVED it.  She's doing that in addition to the summer junior golf that the three girls always do.  We have found a sport that she enjoys and it's so fun to see her happiness.  Faith is doing her second year of junior golf, this time with a friend in her group and it's the best day of the week for her. I posted about graduation last time, but that was technically in June as well.  We went to Red Robin for dinner and - covid restrictions were such that we couldn't have more than 6 people at a time.  And we have 7 people in our family so we had to sit...

So May brought some fun.   Logan did awesome at his last track meet , finishing strong with a repeat of his PR.   Senior day at the Rotary meet was fun to watch   He asked Jordan to Prom, hosted by ward friends in their gym.   It was a hit with all the kids   And we celebrated the end of school with a quick and wonderful trip to CA to visit people and places in Fort Bragg.   It was a great weekend.  Here is life for the Richardsons We had a baptism trip the end of April.  It was Natalie’s first time and such a beautiful experience to be able to share with them! Logan turned 18!   We took the family to San Antonio, TX for our post- and pre- mission/family reunion.  In spite of a fun stomach bug running through all the kids we had a really good time.  Whale show at Sea World Wildflower farm in the Texas hill country  Golfing together (not Texas, but too lazy to move the photo) The Alamo!  One of the four San Antonio missions. Loved SA. Would go back in a heartbeat.
