December!!!!!! part 1

Image
December was major for us.  It was not planned that way on purpose! A long anticipated and hoped for Disney trip fell into place sort of last minute - we had to grab the opportunity before Logan leaves home.  So the first weekend in December found us skipping out on our obligations and responsibilities at home...oops! We had so much fun.  Faith was a champion.  She played hard and went on every ride that she was tall enough for.  Even that scary elevator drop ride!  I couldn't be more chicken than a six year old so I had to do it too (although it's definitely not my favorite style of ride, it was a fun one). The best ride in both parks...Radiator Springs Heading into the newest ride at Galaxy's Edge 40 minute wait to meet the Princesses...at her request.  When asked if the wait was worth it, she cheerfully replied, "nope!" and yes, they bought lightsabers. This girl slept literally the entire way h...

November 2019

November was fairly quiet photo-wise.  We hosted and Edward Jones party at our house.  Several people were sick for the two weeks leading up to that (thus no photos or fun) but luckily cleared up in time for the big event. Miss Faith turned 6.  We had a quiet evening with presents and cupcakes at home and she was pretty happy with that.  This girl is obviously pretty happy being six! She's very perceptive and creative.  She is constantly playing pretend games.  A current favorite is called "cheetah shape-shifters" wherein she is a shape-shifter who's main form is that of a cheetah but it can change at ANY moment.  Frequently when I am cooking I find a cheetah growling behind me.  Two seconds later there's a bird flying away.  I never know what shape this crazy shape-shifter will take!  And I try really hard not to step on her!  She's always watching her big siblings and has special relationships with all of them. ...

September and October 2019

September started off with a visit from Hannah and Keaton, and Keaton's parents, that included a baby gender reveal!!  It was super fun to experience that with them. I can't think of a reason NOT to have frozen yogurt...but the first day of school definitely called for it! September also brought a sisters trip to Charleston, South Carolina before Devon and family moved away.  I had SO much fun with my sisters and thoroughly loved exploring the beauty of Charleston! Our first day together - carriage ride to see old town My first time at the Atlantic Ocean - I'm a fan!  And thrilled to be there with these beauties! Sometimes it's just us...and we love those days! Josh and I treated ourselves for our birthdays with a trip to Utah to catch a BYU Football game.  The weather was less than perfect on the night of the game but we had Hannah and Keaton join us and it was so fun hanging out with them! ...

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

I'm not going to get around to putting mission photos on here.  They'll be emailed, on Instagram, or occasionally on Facebook.  Just takes too much work.  I have Brynne's insta account that she said I could post pictures to occasionally, and that's by far the easiest way. But I have other kids and topics to write about, so that's okay. School is in full swing around here now that we are midway through September. I think Logan is excited for most of his classes.  He doesn't love writing and English, so he opted for the lower level junior English.  I was kind of bummed.  He could stand the challenge, but not my choice.  However, he's making up for that with two science classes and of course AP U.S. History.  I know lots of kids that push themselves with 6 AP classes and sports and stuff.  I really don't see the point of that and don't encourage my kids to overwhelm themselves.  I have some other thoughts on that.  Every family a...
