Sold
I've had some surprising emotions about selling my grandparents' home this fall. I mean it was always going to be sold. But I was surprised how it affected me. I realized that I have a lot of memories tied up in this house. In fact, I may have spent more time there than in my parents' house. For the past 30 years I've been there frequently. For half of that time I lived nearby and visited on a pretty regular basis. But even when we lived in California we made regular stops as we traveled back and forth. So now the house is sold and new owners take possession this weekend. I wanted to stick a few pictures here for my memory. It's not the same without them in it - the house is cold and empty. But one thing that I love is that the new buyers fell in love with it the minute they saw it. They are doing what the Honeys did 30 years ago - relocating and finding their little slice of happiness in the trees. I'm happy ...
