Some of our May flowers

Can you believe that the school year is over!  It ended with some good things! Kenna's golf team qualified for State and placed 7th overall.  Way to go girls! Faith won the Youth Rising Award for the Josephine County Food Bank for her years of service. We took her school on a field trip there and they loved it. Natalie participated in her vocal recital and she did such a nice job - we've seen tremendous growth in her as a singer. We helped paint a pavilion for ServeGP Faith promoted from 5th grade to 6th grade.  Say what???!!!! It was a lovely little ceremony and my favorite part was as the kids walked past their classmates they were high fiving them all the way down the line. We got Murphy bunk beds for our grandkid room!  I'm so excited!  Josh assembled them and he did such a good job. Also - I am apparently not the only one with an ice cream problem.  Ahem. Brynne was featured in a BYU Alumni magazine story and we had so many lovely people offer us...

Bee-Beems Graduated!

Image
Happy April!  What a lovely month! The highlight was that Brynne is officially a college grad!  So proud of everything this girl has accomplished in the past 9 months.  It's been quite a ride but she's risen to the challenge. Josh and I had a great weekend in Utah with Brynne.  It was beautiful weather and we got to do fun things and eat good food.  One highlight was hitting up the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point - Barry and family joined us and we had such a lovely day together! other fun April stuff: Hannah has a cute boy who turned 2! Happy Birthday Darwin! Easter!  Brynne was with Barry's fam. Ummm, kind of the cutest little family ever! Faith got to dress up as a book character - Hello Sherlock! And they dressed up as 80s kids for a youth video!

Natalie turned sweet 16!  We went to the DMV and she got her license!  She's doing great driving. for her birthday I dropped Nat and her friends off a The Teapot on Wheels for a sweet little tea party and they had such a good time! I went to Roots Tech in SLC with my Dad and scooted down to Provo for a quick visit with Brynne.  We ate good food - that was priority number 1.  And a hike.  It was actually pretty cool - but a little icy. Natalie went to MoPro with her friends and I thought they looked amazing! We went to the Newport Aquarium with Heather's family during spring break and had such a beautiful day at the coast!  It consisted of elicious seafood lunch and the lighthouse and the really cool cobble beach where the rocks make a fascinating sound as the waves roll across them. Faith and I had a cool beehive field trip together during spring break. Also, did you know there's an official Bigfoot trap out by Applegate lake that you can hike to? ...

Roar for February

Image
February is always a tough month.  It is is dark and cold and it feels like winter is never going to end.  But luckily we had good things this month too! The girls and I took Grandpa Honey to lunch at Wild River and had such a great time chatting with him. Josh invites me to join him when he set missionaries apart.  We don't usually take photos - and when we do I don't usually get a copy, so this one is special.  Bekah was in my class my first year of teaching seminary and she is a delightful young woman sent to serve the people of Cambodia. These kids make all of us so happy - how can you not love those smiling faces? Kenna is hard to pin down in orchestra - I never get to see her face when she's playing, but we have thoroughly loved hearing them - she has developed a lovely talent. Brynne ran into our Robinson friends in Provo and they sent me a photo - made me so happy to see! This girl played basketball for the first time and she did great!  She even m...

January is SNOW Delightful!

Image
After Christmas we trundled off to Sunriver to get away and enjoy some snow!   This guy does not look trustworthy.   Why yes!  That is a snowball in his hands about to be launched in my direction. We love to play games and be cozy by the fireplace and eat yummy food.   This year we tried something new - Logan and Jordan came and spent a couple nights with us and we did an official snowshoeing tour.  It was amazing - so cool.  We did a forest ranger tour and learned so much about how the snow impacts the forest (and tips and tricks for being safe). There's a little ice cream place in Bend that we love.  So we went.  We also found a Thai restaurant that is next level delicious.  It serves northern Thai cuisine.  The first time we ate there I looked a menu full of names of unfamiliar dishes and got a little nervous.  And then our food came.  Every dish was licked clean and all of us left happy and full.  We have since learned...
